Grand Lodge Peak 7 Breckenridge

Upon arriving at the driveway in front of the Grand lodge on peak 7 at Breckenridge, one walks up a fairly long flight of stairs to reach the lobby. The checkin front desks are on the left hand side once walk up the stairway. Right near the front desk area is a small hotel store, and also nearby is the concierge. There is a large and beautiful common room / living room attached to the main lobby with very nice furniture, a fireplace, a high ceiling, and with windows looking out to the pool area. In this common room is the activities desk which can help with making reservations for things like sleigh rides. We used the bank of elevators is the main lobby many times, and had a great stay at the Grand lodge at Breckenridge.

Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas

The lobby at the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas Nevada is located on the 23rd floor of the property, and is very beautiful. I had the best time there, and have been looking forward to writing this lobby review for some time. After traveling through the relatively uncrowded Vegas airport on a Thursday, I took a taxi to the Mandarin, entered the ground floor waiting area which has some couches and is nicely decorated, then got on one of the elevators to the 23rd floor lobby. When the elevator doors open, you're facing a wall with the very nice gold vertical and horizontal bar pattern characteristic of the Mandarin Oriental chain. The lobby is on the 23rd floor, and is interestingly above all the guest rooms: guest rooms occupy floors below the lobby, residences are in the floors above the lobby. Looking at the checkin desk, behind is a great view onto the famous Las Vegas strip. Also on the 23rd floor in the lobby area is the Tea Lounge, which is a nice place to sit and meet up with friends and enjoy the great views. The lobby has high ceilings and is very nicely decorated: impressive. The lobby and the Mandarin isn't as large as that of some of the massive Vegas hotels, but for a moderately sized hotel, the lobby at the Mandarin Oriental seemed perfectly sized to me and I didn't see long lines at check-in as is often seen at other hotels. To get to a hotel room from the lobby, there is a separate bank of elevators located just behind the bank used to get here from the ground floor. Next I'm thinking about a trip to New Delhi India and hope to write about the lobby of the hotel I stay at there.
